My first original recording at the age of thirty-five! I started writing songs, including this one, about ten years ago but I never recorded any.

This began life as a love song called Siren. Earlier this year, I randomly decided to re-write the lyrics and it developed a more universal message that was more about the kind of love that our soul (or higher self) has for us if we listen for it.

My soul really spoke to me when I wrote this. I finished the lyrics on the beach - the waves made me think about letting go and learning to ride the waves of your mind, instead of being so afraid of drowning that you sink anyway, moving towards your true self and trusting that you CAN swim, even if you don't quite know how.

This is a song that I wrote for myself and not for approval or airplay. Having said that, I'm finding it's resonating with people already so I hope you enjoy it, but either way I would love to hear what you took from it because each listener is different.
